Our instructors work to change the world, one life at a time, by helping students reach their dreams through education. The MCCC is looking for a skilled person in Precision Machine Technology. The dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor has the ability to read and interpret blueprints and operate multi-axis machines, has strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of CNC G-codes, Mastercam, Mill & Lathe. The qualified candidate will develop and teach all phases of the program curriculum, monitor and evaluate student progress, and maintain student records in accordance with accreditation standards. The passionate aspirant will recruit support from business and industry to develop job placement opportunities for graduates.

SALARY: Substitute Teacher Rate in the same assignment for the first 60 days. Beginning with the 61st day of employment, long-term substitutes shall be placed on the BA-0 step of the salary schedule.
REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Possession of valid Ohio Teacher Licensure/Certification (Precision Machining 172302) or the ability and willingness to achieve. Minimum of five years of industry-related experience, of which three years are recent. Able to read and interpret blueprints and operate multi-axis machines. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in precision machining with manual and CNC mills, lathes, and computer-aided design. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of CNC G-codes and AutoCAD. Ability to instruct using industry-required tools and equipment. Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Success in promoting partnerships and collaboration with staff, parents, community leaders, businesses, and other essential stakeholders. Integrity with high standards of honesty, ethics, and personal conduct. The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, classified personnel, and community members. A keen belief in the value and worth of career and technical education coupled with robust academic offerings. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an apprenticeship program. Previous teaching experience. Experience working in a career-technical environment. Experience working with High School students. Current First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA certifications.
